Nice colours Pete, your local area, where is it?

Think I might plant one of my Caesalpinias, we don't get as much sun here as you do but I'll see what happens.

        Maidstone Strongy.

Plant it against a wall, I dont think mine would do very well as a free standing shrub.

Very dry here Ziggy, I'm guessing its more to do with wind.

Do you, or have you had wind?:loll:

Not harvested the Artichokes yet & haven't caught a Dogfish recently but

YES, the wind has been relentless all summer, its killed several plantings of beans outright, knocked everything over and driven me into an endless pit of dispair, thinking that this is the end.

Tried to convince Sister that we need windbreak fencing round the plot but to no avail:dunno:

              Thanks all for the replies.:)

I cut my smaller pumkin today, it was starting to rot underneath, but weighed about 50lbs.

I rolled the big one on its side and luckily its still solid.
