you won't be getting headaches from the actual screen glare Rosa as there is none....you could have the backlight up to high...or you are spending to much time on the computer.

Rosa, just an idea if you spend a lot of time on the computer .... put your screen as far back from you as you possibly can on your desk/table ... if then you have a problem reading the too small print alter the print size by going to View then Text Size and upping the text size ..... flat screens have the advantage that they don't have a big bulk at the back of them so they can be positioned further away.... it may help .... also make sure you are not getting too much 'glare' from natural sunlight eg... if you are sat facing a window when using your computer ! As PC Medic says it won't be the screen that is causing your migraine, but if you are a migraine sufferer anyway ....perhaps eye strain from trying to read too small text is a factor ...... plus eating chocolate and cheese !!!! but I'm sure you are aware of the latter two !! :D  M-L

cheers mona lisa,I dont sit in a window, and when i think of it could be chocolate as i was naughty and had some and i normally get a migraine a few days later, its very difficult when you enjoy something yet it can make you so ill, thats why i tend to stick to savouries. [IMG]

There's more to this than the glare from the monitor, rosa. I am an occupational health nurse and one of my jobs was to oversee the situation vis a vis VDUs and staff who use them.

Posture can have a BIG effect on your health and it is important that you have the proper seating and arm arrangements. Take a look at this document to see what I mean.

I stopped many folk getting bad heads-migraines through re-adjusting their seating and/or computer and desk arrangements.

Do pm me if you want more info.
