    Hi all,

Newbie here, I’m looking for some advice for my lawn and the best way to help the grass grow.

When I leave it to grow it grows in clumps of wild grass.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

Hello Matt-L-, brace yourself! It would probably be best to start again from scratch. Hire a rotovator, go over the area thoroughly, rake, tread, rake again and sow a hard-wearing lawn seed mix. If it's not possible at the moment, plan to get it ready for September. Then, regular mowing next year should keep your lovely new lawn in good condition :)
