    does any one know anything about growing advocardo,s i have one growing in my garden from a stone ,it was not planted by me it has seeded i think from my compost bin ,it has been growing unprotected for 2years i don,t know if i should move it to my greenhuose or leave it as it is i can,t find out about them in any gardening book HELP.

    Are you sure its an avocado as I dont believe they are hardy.
    Does it not get any frost on it at all?
    I have grown them from stones in the past in a cool greenhouse, min temp 5deg C or perhaps a bit lower. So they do stand fairly low temps. But I never let mine get frosted, wish I had tried it now.

    I used to grow them years ago last one grew to 18 ft, but tried one stone last year grew 5 ft kept in unheated greenhouse, but lost all the leaves, which is normal, now sprouting new shoots an every leaf joint. Wish me good luck.
