I'm crazy about them - I've made hundreds of photos in my and my mum's collections (we are together suffering av virus). :) Right now I have a collection to fit in windowsills and 1 shelf near the window - only natural daylight - no lamps.
I prefer mini and semi- mini varieties and trailing av with longer stems, which can be grown several together.
    Some minis and semi-minis:

These photoes show the best blooming archieved. This season I'll add pictures in "What's blooming now" theme .

African violets are one of the things I collect. I have lots of them. There are a couple of other people on here that collect them too. We have even sent each other leaves to propagate from.
You have some beauties there. :)

        Thank you!
In reality it's quite dark and I love full flowers. There are always problems to catch blue/purple and red colours with my camera.

Wonderful! I would be happy to share leaves and possibly plantlets, because I'm propagating some varieties right now. I'm looking for several varieties as well.

Why there are no generiads forums? I couldn't find.

        Nobody has started one!:roflol:
Excuse my humour - start a Gesneriaceae thread and I'll add to it. I think that the Other Plants sub forum is the ideal place.

        :) :) :)
In fact I'm curious why there no separate forums like there are about cactuses? Are gesneriads much less popular?

Can you imagine how long the sub forum list would be!
