    8DA212B1-50C4-4C36-9D2C-872D854BAB49.jpeg Hi all,

I’m after a bit of advice please. I divided my agapanthus last year and this part (photo) didn’t do well. Over the course of the year it lost all of its leaves and hasn’t produced any new ones.
It is about the size of a 50p coin and has about 6 healthy roots. As you can see it’s green but nothing new is growing.
Has it got a chance of making a comeback or am I wasting my time on it?

    thanks

I don't know much about Agapanthus but if the roots are healthy I should think it will grow back.

Not really sure what we are looking at here.
Agapanthus in my garden are making leaves now.
You divided it last year? when last year?

Last April, so this is the part attached to the roots but the leaves have died off and nothing has grown since. All of my other agapanthus are growing fine but this one seems to not be doing much.

Yes it’s been just over a year. The roots have grown and it had to be moved recently but no leaves grown at all. I’m just wondering if I’m wasting my time trying to save it.

As I say not seen anything like it, cant imaging what is going on for it to stay like that all this time.
Did you cut it off like that? the top looks cleanly cut.

I'd give it until July and then give up on it.

      Hi I grow several agapanthus,

If me I would dig up and put in a pot and give it some tlc in a warm spot in the garden or greenhouse it should re sprout ... it does look like the top gas been cut or the new shoot has been snapped off by accident.

I did have a dahlia once that grew no leaves or shoots but when I turned it out the pot the pot was full of fresh roots but no shoots ... alas it went into the compost bin
