Hmm. I'm looking for hanging carnations to do the same thing but can't find any seeds for them anywhere. C'mon guys, any ideas?

    Hello there Time
For window boxes I would go for a mixture of alpine plants that flower at different times of the year also amongst them I would plant some dwarf bulbs....together they would give you such a wonderful show.
