    Which one are you after?

I bought some Daphne transatlantica Eternal Fragrance from Pottertons earlier this year and they are now flowering and smelling heavenly :wub2:

May have to buy some more Daphnes now you've reminded me.

Not normally a fan of alpines, but I do love a Daphne so have gone and ordered three more :dancy:

    Daphne x susannae 'Tichborne'

    Daphne cneorum verlotii

    Daphne x susannae 'Cheriton'.

Thinking of getting a couple of large troughs for them and the Eternal Fragrance (three in each) :wub2:

I have them in planters and just use B&Q GP compost :) Bit more info here on the Eternal Fragrance, which flowers from April to October.

Thanks for the info. :dbgrtmb: It looks like it'll have to be a pot then, not liking my sandy soil.

They don't like their roots disturbed, so would advise putting them in a larger pot (not that they get that big anyway) so that you don't have to repot for a while.

Postage is quite pricey from that site and the plants themselves aren't cheap (the 'Eternal Fragrance' were £8 each for very small ones but the other are cheaper) but that's because they are apparently quite rare. Would definitely recommend them though, they are such pretty little things :wub2:

Thanks again. The problem I have is finding a nursery that will deliver to the island and when I do they want to rob me for the postage. I'll go 'surfing', blimey, haven't used that word in a while and see what's out there. :)
