How about a "Member in the spotlight" feature, members are picked by the staff here and furnished with a list of questions about their gardening which they answer and return. This is posted as a new topic somewhere on the forum, and members get a chance to fire of questions...it could have huge learning potential for novice gardeners like myself.

Questions could be something as follows.

    1. How long have you been gardening?
    2. How many gardens have you developed?
    3. Are you organic?
    4. What style of garden do you like best?

    etc etc etc..

    Steve...:)

It's a great idea-on another forum I visit they have the same thing calling it a member interview.

What if we creat a special "Member's interview" forum where willing victims could start a thread indicating they're willing to be asked questions by other members. Or there could be a set questionnaire to start with and then everyone else asks them question based upon that.

Set questionnaire sounds pretty good to me Daisees, something perhaps a bit personality based rather than anything too technical at first, otherwise there'll be lots "dunnos" as answers-at least for some of us lol.

    What a great idea!
Any chance to talk about the garden suits me :)

    Count me in for sure.
I think set questions are best. Maybe 5 questions so it keeps it simple?

    What are your favourite plants?
If we decide on the set questions I'll have a go :gnthb:

I think its a good idea. I also like the idea of the set questionnaire with personality type questions as well as gardening specific ones. I reckon we could all learn a lot from the results, especially if we then get to chuck our own follow questions in.

How many members are there here? As far as I can see there aren't too many (the same names keep popping up all the time), so maybe a new subsection, with a thread for each user. That way when all the follow up questions pile in we won't end up with humongous threads with hundreds of pages where we might miss something.
