    CAN ANYONE RECOMEND A QUALITY GOOD VALUE WINE?????

    Red or white not to sweet......preferably under a fiver?
    We all have our favourites,but there are so many,and recomendations would be appreciated.

    I cannot be of much help in this department, but comes to memory a white German whine with a long name (and a long bottle)which we used to buy in tesco and, with my deep regret, it has been discontinued just very recently...I will let you know the name!
    Regarding under fiver Italian wines , or better: those bottles that pretend to be drinkable wine just because they have an Italian name on it, I better just don't recommend you anything...

    Roders,

    I like a glass of Pinot Grigiot, it is lovely chilled and you can pick it up for around 4.99 :D

    I also like Cava Demi-Sec if you want a bit of bubbly and that can be picked up for as little as 3.99 at Sainsbury's.

    Not much of one for expensive plonk me :D
