    Hello All,
After reading all the threads on heating I too am finding parrafin bloody expensive . Now the question is can I run my parrafin heater on kerosene (heating oil)? I have a supply but I'm not sure how it will burn! The last gallon of parrafin I bought from a garden centre said it was kerosene on the label.
    So what do you reckon:scratch:

    Many thanks Colin

I have a gerry can almost full of Esso Blue parrafin from about 1980.

It seem different stuff to me from the parrafin I bought at a garden centre at a very extortionate price.

I know the colour is different but the GC stuff seems heavier, more like oil or diesel, the esso blue is like white spirit used for cleaning paint brushes, lighter and thinner.

Not sure what that proves, but if it dont smoke or smell too bad I cant think there is much difference between them.

    But I'm not a scientist.:D
