ANOTHER HOBBY AND STEEP LEARNING CURVE

    I've often looked up at the skies and wondered about them while the rising number of Astronomy programs have been stirring my interest. So a couple of days ago I was "wandering" through E-Bay and saw this on auction

    The offers at the time were ridiculously low but I know that towards the end of the Auction people start going mad and try to out bid each other and the price rises dramatically. Anyway, I decided I would put in a fair bid and did so and then went to bed. When I got up in the morning and checked E-Bay I was shocked to find that I won the auction!! I had to go and collect the Telescope [a longer journey than I'd thought] and it's huge. Now I'm faced with having to put it back together again and start learning about using it and Astronomy!!

              It weighs a ton, Joolz!!!! The chap I bought it off really knew his stuff and had been using a Telescope since he was 10 years old. He even had a Shed in his garden that he'd turned into an Observatory with a sliding roof!!:snork:

                      I've learnt the hard way that Life is too short...gotta get out there and do things!!!

                      The guy who sold me the Telescope has left me his number if I need help and advice, Joolz. As soon as I get time I'll join the local Astronomy Club and learn from them and I'll subscribe to one of the Astronomy Magazines..........and of course I'll watching a few videos on the Net!!

                            Just a thought if you think about revamping your shed into an observatory aswell bear in mind your cats might lick the lense as soon as you poke it out :heehee:
