I have been a fishkeeper for many years, at the moment I have a 240ltr community aquarium & will soon be getting a new 330ltr to replace it, also I am building a new pond at the moment.

The waste water from the tanks are fantastic for plants. Glad to see some aquarium people here.

I have never used the dirty aquarium water on the plants but I suppose it's a good way of using it.

I used to keep Koi, but am now interested in keeping an aquarium. The problem is where to put it, as I couldn't settle for something small.

I see you keep Cichlids, how do they get on? Care to expand on your set-up?

Hi yes. The water is nitrogen rich.
I have a few tanks. The one you are referring to is a 4fooot extra high tank with over flow and sump.

Got a mixture of Mbuna and peecocks in there.

I'd heard of sumps, but never knew what they were about. So, basically a filter. I assume these are much better than one of those box filters you can buy?
