Any ideas brown leaves?

    I’ve had this shrub in my Garden for years. I’ve no idea what it is but the flowers smell so lovely and attract so many bees. However, for the last few years, it seems to develop brown leaves and pale leaves, as you can see from the picture. Just wondered if anyone had any idea what’s up with it. Thanks

    I think it's philadelphus coronarius 'aureus'. The brown leaves may be because it's tall enough now for them to get frazzled by too much sun (yes, unlikely in UK, but we have had an exceptional spring).

    Probably new growth frazzled by the exceptionally breezy conditions we've had recently, rather than solar damage
