Please could i have names please and group for the two clematis.
I am guessing the purple is group 3 and the dark purple (just started flowering) is group 2.
Not sure what the green leaves with black 'v' pattern.
    Any help would be appreciated

There's some varieties of Polygonum that look like that.

    Re named Persicaria.
    Several named cultivars.
    Persicaria virginiana...maybe or named cultivars.
Some are weeds others make very good ornamental garden plants.

Looks like you might have common Polygonum persicaria there or... If it is a plant you bought it could be Polygonum oderatum or Vietnamese Coriander. “Rau Ram”..

It appeared amongst some pansy/petunia seeds i put in a border about 2 months ago. Could it have been in the compost i used ?
        Have binned it now.

Hi @Lloyd it could well have come in the compost.
I had some organic compost bought in one year and it had wood sorrel (oxalis reticulate) seeds in it. I am now waging a constant battle in my poly tunnel against the flipping stuff now. :yikes:

Have a look around here Lloyd. Taylor's is a very good site for information and their plants are good quality too. :)
