Probably something else as apples are complex hybrids that originated in the Tien Shan mountains in Kazakhstan, meandered along the Silk Road and ended up in Britain sometime before the Romans did.

Doesn't even look like an apple to me, looks more like hawthorn or some kind of Sorbus perhaps.

That's what I thought it looked like to but 100% certain is a apple as grew it from a seed I got from apple , the wood is definently what you would expect from a young apple tree, it is so weird

I'd go with hawthorn, definitely something else.
Most likely the apple seed failed to germinate and a hawthorn seed already in the soil, or dropped by a bird.

OK so its not its first year then, I was thinking it was a first year seedling.

The picture you are showing now shows possibly a normal apple leaf half in shot at the top, the others now look like pest damaged.

Yeah so the top growth is all that weird shape of leaf and bottom leaves more normal shaped , but there not that shape due to pests don't think as it's to distinct a leaf shape, have a few apple trees I have bought but more excited with the ones grown from seed , the other one from seed is the text book looking apple sapling

Pest or disease, they are distorted and have brown marks and no two are the same.
