I have a few of these plants growing in the garden.
They look and smell like chives but the flower heads are unlike the other chives
    I have in the garden.
Can someone tell me what the plant is.

PS why are my pictures appearing up side down?

Ha, when I turned the tablet upside down to check out the photo, guess what happened! I think you have to rotate them before uploading.

They look like chives to me, but could be another onion family member also.

The second photo looks like Allium Vincale, "Hair Allium".

Or could be Sand Leek, Allium scorodoprasum. But that usually grows near the coast.

I wonder whether Allium Vincale and Allium Vineale are the same thing? Suttons seeds are one the few sites which seem to use the former name so it might just be a typo:scratch:

            This might be the answer

But do chives produce the occasional asexual 'flower' ?

Thank you and to all the other kind people who replied to my question.
Dont know where these came from but i have quite a few growing all over the garden.
Might even try to grow them now from the seeds they produce.
              They seem quite hardy plants
