    Hi,

I was out looking for Sloe Berries and think I have found a Blackthorn Shrub out in the countryside - however, it would be nice to have a second (or third or fourth!) opinion to be sure.

The tree was about 8 or 9 feet tall

There were some long thorns that were up to about 2 or so inches long (not sure you can see them in the pictures).

The berries are round, were covered in a kind of white dust and about half an inch in diameter. I tasted a small amount of one of the berries and it was terribly sour which leads me to believe they are indeed Sloes.

I've put a few pictures in - let me know what you think.

Thanks you very much in advance.
