;) Can you imagine working for a Company that has a little over 600

employees and has the following employee statistics.

29 have been accused of spouse abuse

7 have been arrested for fraud

9 have been accused of writing bad cheques

17 have directly or indirectly bankrupted at least 2 companies

3 have done time for assault

71 cannot get a credit card due to bad credit

14 have been arrested on drug related charges

8 have been arrested for shoplifting

21 are currently defendants in law suits

84 have been arrested for drink driving in the last year.

which organisation is this you may ask.........????

    WAIT FOR IT.........................!!

Its the 635 members of the House of Commons, the very same group that "cranks out"

hundreds of new laws each year designed to keep the rest of us in line

plus of course the " the smoking ban" which believe it or not is NOT applicable at their place of

    employment either.

What Mugs we are to put these people in charge or our lives............NO COMMENT.??

Oh. Just ordinary people then. No wonder I fell out with politics (or actually politicians) about 10 years ago.

Well, if the 30%-40% who don't vote went to the polls and wrote on the ballot paper "no suitable canditate", it's considered a spoiled paper. But you can't be considered to be "apathetic". So any politician worth his salt would see that's how he could get into power. Then, maybe, someone would start listening. If you vote, you're agreeing with the system so they don't care what you think.
A long time ago, in a different life, I arrested a Politician, (D&D) and he told me, "A Politician stands for himself", A lesson well learned. We learnt something, in the 60's. If you guys think like you do and still vote, actually I'll shut up now. Night, Night

i'm not clever. i would just like to put a point across.

if you (one) don't vote, don't moan. you haven't tried to change it. if you (one) doesn't feel that anyone up for the vote is worth it, then you(one - i'm not doing that anymore!) should be able to say so.

i will now look at being 'apathetic' on votes. i didn't know you could do that. lets hope that the goverenment, whoever, will recognise this if it is the majority vote.

blimey folks, hope i haven't annnoyed anyone.

i don't do : politics, religion or anything else that kills people. Only if it counts [IMG] that was a 'unfunny quote' no offence

    cheers

I always vote even though I think (know) that 99% of people in politics 'stand for themselves' (quote cajary). When I was a local councillor I like to think I was honest and I knew one other guy on the council who was 100% honest. I was an independent and he belonged to a party that I don't really support. But I would have voted for him if he was in my ward. So unless I think someone is doing (or going to do) the job for the good of (most of) the people they represent and not for their own interests I don't vote for any of them. But I said I always vote. Yes I write N.O.T.A. on the ballot paper - None Of The Above.

do you think if enough people do it, things might change?

Hi, guys. Sorry to take a long time replying but it's been an " interesting" weekend.
Ydd. I did and couldn't get people interested enough to try an alternative system. Would you like to try it on an organised basis? We could start a "Don't vote for them, it only encourages them" party.
Ser. and Bor. Yes, if enough people do it, it will make a differnce, most people vote negatively. "I don't like them, so I'll vote for the other lot." If enough people stop voting, they might get the mesage!
I should have spent my life on a soap box at Hyde Corner :D

Hi, ydd. When I lived in "The Smoke" we considered Hyde Park Corner as a source of entertainment when we didn't have enough money to get a beer.!! It' a good laugh, isn't it? I should have had a crack at it. I don't know who would have laughed as much, me or the crowd :D

    My biggest enemy, Pen-pushers.
I have had to deal with them all my working life.
Their main job is to pass the buck when things go wrong, which nine times out of ten they are the instigators off!
Politions are pen-pushers who are just further up the food chain.
Even with the best intentions they get things a**s about t*t because the left hand dosen't know what the right hands doing most of the time.
Ahhhh, that's better, I've had a hard day today, so needed to vent my spleen.
