    Just a few of the 130 I saw on our trip Down Under with a couple from Hong Kong.

    Kookaburras, common in parks and quite approachable.

    Masked Lapwing, also common in towns and cities and like Kookaburras and Ibis very tame.

    Bush Stone Curlew, another bird seen in towns, here at home they are a rarity and difficult to see. In Darwin and Port Douglas, out in the open and if approached they will either walk away or freeze thinking you can't see them!
