Hi guys I got a really Bad Greenfly infestation on my container of lupins, I sprayed them yesterday but today theres like 1000's still moving about so got the hose out and heavily sprayed the leafs and stalks and washed loads of them off.

says to spray them directly onto the greenfly but I think there's no way to spray and get them all, it says to do this once a week is there anything else I can do?

That was the reason I gave up growing them, the Green Fly I had was twice as large as the normal ones.

They are prob the ...aptly named ..lupin aphid lowrider. Initially from the USA I think., Bigger than the average aphid and a greyish colour?
I grow lupins here and they thrive.
I will spray before the flower spikes start forming and any good insecticide will do the trick.
Use a fine spray, cover under the leaves, and spray to run off. The soil too. A single spray is enough if timed right. I tend to spray at the same time for lily beetle. :)
Persevere lowrider....lupins are worth that little effort :)
