Bamboo help?

    Not sure if this is in the correct forum,

    Got bamboo and it’s got a vine plant like growing round it, also out a large section of the bamboo one or two plants have went completely black.

    Any help much appreciated

    How old is the bamboo? It looks as if it could be Phyllostachys nigra, the canes of which go darker with age ending up as shiny ebony black after a couple of years.
    Not sure about the twining stuff could be bind weed. I would cut off at ground level, remove and then treat regrowth next year with glyphosate, carefully avoiding the bamboo assuming you want to keep the bamboo of course.
