Bargain 50p Vanda, how do I not kill it?

I picked up a Vanda Orchid today on the off chance when I spotted one in the reduced plant box at local florist.

How do I go about not killing it? I don't have a lot of luck with orchids, looking at the soil it's in the standard peat based MPC with a few moldy flowers for decoration...

Thanks Longk, I'll see if I can dig out a clay pot from somewhere and I know I have some coarse coir chunks somewhere as well which will be a huge improvement over the compost it's currently in!

 

Downright essential if you want it to survive I reckon. I grew mine in a basket in the bathroom.
