I just bought some mealworms to breed. Baked a few and put them on my bird feeder. Today I saw some bees pulling some mealworms out. Has anyone seen this happening before?

They were clearly honeybees, not wasps.

Welcome to Gardeners Corner Ka Ho. :)

I've not known bees to do this before but I've tagged @Spruce, GC's beekeeper to see if he can shed some light on it for you. :)

          Hi

:dunno: new to me , It may of been a hornet I very much doubt it would of been a apis Meillifera aka honey bee , in all the years I have kept them I have never seen them eat another insect , tear them apart yes ie a wasp trying to get into the hive.
We would need a photo if possible.

          :sign0016:Ka Ho interesting 1st post
