I bought a couple of second hand Belfast sinks to use as arid planters, for succulents and cacti. Firstly I drilled plenty of extra drainage holes and then added a layer of grit on the bottom for drainage. I have mixed a third ratio of sharp sand, grit and compost. I have planted a lampranthus in each, some echeveria and cacti.
