    Hi all

I have inherited some large terracotta plant pots and even with good clean, they’re still pretty mouldy-looking. They are a lovely shape though, and in tact, so I’d really like to paint them but am unsure what the best type of paint to use would be? And would they need painting then sealing or is there an ‘all in one’ type of paint I could use?

    Any help greatly appreciated.

Hi Sharon, well, clay pots are porous and so you would have to be careful what paint, if any, you would use. So acrylic and spray paints will work but you will have to renew it after some time due to the weather causing wear to it.:cat-kittyandsmiley::coffee:

I used acrylic paint on some terracotta pots, but because they are porous I gave them an initial coat with watered down pva glue.
