    Here is a new thread for anyone who has taken any pics of birds outside of the British Isles or Ireland.

    It will be fun seeing birds we don't happen upon every day - and certainly a challenge trying to identify them!

    Don't know what this is but it was singing its heart out in South Africa.

    I think this is an African blackbird on the top of Table Mountain. In the background is Robin Island (does that count as another bird?) where they encarcerated Nelson Mandela.

    Seen in the Transvaal, SA (not very clear) I think it's an Ibis

    This one was as dead as a dodo

    Yellow weaver bird in the St Lucia Wetlands in 'Zululand' SA.

    And an empty nest
