Hello, I have this beautiful little blossom tree in my garden, it usually blooms in spring. This year- it only has a few buds/leaves and is covered in this yellow & white mossy stuff.
    What should I do.
Help appreciated as I would hate for it to die!

    Its covered in lichen.
It doesn't harm the tree, it just lives on the surface and is harmless.

Unfortunately I think your tree might be dying, although the reason for that is unclear.

So many trees have had their blossoms and young shoots destroyed by the winds and frosts this year in this area..

Thanks for replying, I am going to give it a feed and some mulch see if that helps.

Nothing to lose to try and give it a boost @Fifegardener.. Around here so many of the Magnolias are suffering and dropped so many of their blooms with the winds and frosts.. Sad really..
