breaking up clay advice

    Hi guys i dug up my veg patch as I have some small stone and sand with a few bags of manure to mix into the patch.

    this is what it looks like now, I do have a garden rotavator but not sure the best time to do this, should i add everything 1st then rotavate or let it dry out some them do it.

    any advice would be good please

    if your soil is not too wet I would dig it/rotovate ASAP. :)

    Lot of weed there.
    If they are perennials you could end up chopping them up and spreading them around with a rotavator.
    Just a thought.

    I'd be inclined to rotavate after spreading your manure etc.
    It will incorporate it into the soil.
    If its too wet, ie the mud is sticky, I'd wait a bit, but if it's just damp now would be a good time.
