Hello @shiney "Hastings & Rye" to close to call for me I need a safer seat than the majority she got:heehee:

(Home Secretary) She had a greatly reduced majority of just 346, defeating her Labour rival. by 25,668 to 25,322.

The Brexit campaign edged a 4,328-vote victory with 20,011 electing to remain in the EU and 24,339 wishing to leave. Thirty-seven votes were rejected.

Hastings saw a 71.6 turnout, with 44,357 votes cast out of 61,957 registered voters.

That 'The Spectator' article - you can see video of the mentioned EU meetings on Youtube. Shows the EU in their true colours.

Hold the line everyone - Boris will get us out :dbgrtmb:.

I will admit to a sneaky admiration for Boris - he is rare amongst politicians - he does what he says.

I'm now hearing that the R soles have managed to get a law pretty much passed that we can't leave without a deal.
It's a real pity that none of them got it made law that they have to abide by the out come of the referendum.
It's all totally loaded in the favour of remain, even the law is not even handed.

FRANCE will refuse another Brexit delay its foreign minister said today, as he blasted "we're not going to do this every three months".

                So lets 'bluster' them back...
On second thoughts...it would be right up our street for the French to refuse...all the EU are supposed to comply with this fiasco and if one drops out..ie..The French that should surely go in our favour ...?...

Mind you...Macron is the most beligerant of the EU lot - he is trying to be 'top dog' and may well veto any extension request - he will want to demonstrate to the world that he/the EU have the last say on the Brexit process. The EU aren't going to change the WD - so the only reason to extend is to get hold of our 3 billion quid.

Labour want us to remain in the EU - despite 60% of labour voters voting leave (I read) - Jezza knows full well that Labour will be punished if elections take place before we have left the EU.

Boris - looks and acts like a buffoon - but this is all bluster to keep his opponents on the back foot.

No, Boris is a buffoon, you cant get away from it.
But maybe we need one right now, personally I wouldn't put him in charge of the proverbially **** up in a brewery, but if he gets it sorted and dies a death polically, then I wont complain.

I think we do Pete...it's all well and good that we've played the 'softly softly' card..we need to mean business but I have the feeling the EU are just taking the P ...I think all along for the last nearly 3 years has been a case of who'll blink first...lets hope it's not us...our Men and Women have fought wars for better. All this jiggery pockery makes a mockery of the UK.

I still wonder if Boris, having recommended to Her Majesty that she give her assent to the anti-No Deal bill, will then still go for a GE on 15th October with a clear exit date remaining 31st October, deal or no deal, with a view to immediately repealing the new law after re-election. I would also love it if he would put in a clause or bill upon the exit from the EU that the UK will not consider (or hold any referendum relating to) re-entering the EU for a period not less than 50 years.

For your consideration, from someone who is an immigrant to this tolerant, fair and liberal country... :) Perhaps time to get some perspective on the situation?

Also, where exactly is your idealistic, entirely non-racist Utopia? Maybe we should try to emulate its inhabitants!

Having read that report I think it's a null report as it really doesn't have much to do with racism. It's really talking about who you feel comfortable being alongside - and even then the questions are the wrong ones!

To quote the conclusion the report actually makes "It is difficult to determine whether someone is racist or not on the basis of the two questions posed by the researchers."
