brick planter

    hi i have built a brick planter which is half full of ordinary soil, what would be the best mixture to fill the remaining 6-8 inches . it will have a mix of plants in cheers in advance j

    Hi Woody & welcome to Gardeners Corner,

    Good bit of John Innes compost always goes down well, they do different mixes, known by their numbers so it depends what you're planting.

    You could also put some moisture retaining balls in there, you get them from nurseries & will slow release water to the plant roots.
