Broad bean harvest

      :dbgrtmb: :yay: Oooh lucky you Daisees.. Finished picking mine a few weeks ago now but they were delicious... My favourite bean to grow & pick...... :D

      I love them .... sadly, neither my wife or my children eat them ..

      the only way I cook them is to steam them, then add salt/pepper and a dressing of lemon and extra virgin olive oil (greek style)... and a few sprigs of parsley for 'ornamental purposes'

      have cooked them with pork chops and a lemoney sauce aswell, but my family never enjoyed that either

      I also often buy a can of butter beans (in brine) ... drain them off ... mash them (or put them in a blender) ... add the juice of half a lemon and loads of extra virgin olive oil ... salt and fresh ground black pepper ... and a crushed clove of fresh garlic ... mix it up well ...

      none of my family enjoy this either ... good cheap bachelor food though

        I cook mine until Al dente in the juice of a freshly squeezed lime & a sprig of fresh Thyme.. No water.. Then toss in butter & black pepper & serve... Yummee.. :dbgrtmb:
