I had to look this one up, John, as there is another Brookside Nursery fairly nearby in Poynton near Stockport, Manchester. But the Stockport Nursery is a general Plant Nursery that gets quite busy with customers on site. The plants of the Staffs Nursery look pretty good and a large variety of plants.:snorky:

Just checked my overwintering cuttings, most are doing badly (they didn't like being in the greenhouse these past few weeks) so I am ordering similar to last year Begonias and Sunpatiens. Plus for a change ordered next year's winter bedding: A tray of 350 Pansies - will save me the bother of trying to grow them from seed.

I agree Harry, the quality has always been excellent for me.

350 ! do you work for Surrey parks and Gardens :snorky:
I ordered a tray of 40 Busy Lizzies £5.99 . Not grown Lizzies for over 6 years now , due to the virus. I know they are an anathema to proper gardeners , but I do like them :blue thumb:

@JWK thank you for the heads up. I have ordered nemesia, phlox and tomato plants, all for the end of April.

As well as a selection of annuals , I have ordered some perennial plugs this year. Namely Penstemon , Helianthemum and Salvia. All due for the 3rd week of March . :blue thumb:
I am trying to increase my stock and variety of perennials this year , as this is one of the many gaps in my gardening know-how !

My Brookside plant delivery has arrived today , bang on time . All plants are in top condition , basket plants and some new perennials. Just letting them rest on the kitchen windowsill. I can then start potting them up tomorrow. :blue thumb:

Even p+p of £3.99 IS cheaper than most other nurseries.

I got mine last week, good quality strong plugs. I potted mine on and keeping them indoors for the time being, it's too cold overnight even in my heated greenhouse.

That is a lot! I only got 3 sets of plug plants and they take up lots of space when potted on, where are you going to keep yours @HarryS ?

I have a oil filled radiator in the GH with an Inkbird thermostat , to keep the frost off . So the perennials and hardier plants can go in now . The annuals will go in the lightbox and windowsills for the next two weeks. I have temporary shelves in my office for them , so I can just about cope ..
