Broom crosses?

    Can someone with knowledge say what cross has gone in to get Genista 'porlock'?

    I heard it was Genista monpessulana x Cytisus racemosus.

    Can anyone correct or substantiate this.

    The issue is of course is there is a hoo har about whether this plants is actually hardy, as Cytisus racemosus is not hardy but Genista monspessulana is.. for example.
