    Hi all,
I recently (4-5 weeks ago) inherited a ficus. It's in pretty good health and has new leaf growth. However it also has these brown patches on some of the leaves :see pic
When you look it up it states over or under watering bit this definitely hasn't been the case since I've had it. I think some of the new leaves have it so does anyone have any other ideas? And should I remove them? IMG_20220704_093236.jpg

Did it have the brown leaves when you got it.
Just wondering if it could be scorch, maybe exposed to more sunlight than it's used to.

Yes it did Pete.. that's a good shout as I believe the previous owner had it outside so could well have been over exposed.. I'm not concerned if that all it is, as long as its not some disease I'm unaware of . Cheers

Well it doesn't really look like a disease as such, but if some of the newer leaves start going the same way it could be cause for concern.

I think I'll have to remove all the affected leaves then I'll be able to tell if it's an ongoing issue

Ficus are fickle plants and will change leaf colour or drop them if it's not happy. If it's any help they like plenty of light but not direct sunlight and dislike draughts.

Ah, thank you. It should be in the perfect position now so fingers crossed. I'm hoping all the brown leaves were inherited so I've removed them which will make it easier to monitor for new changes. Many thanks
