As you may know we usually come here three times a year if we can, Spring, Summer and Autumn and today was very warm but very windy, maxed at 25c.
We only had a very brief sighting of a young Red squirrel this time but we went for the birds on the lagoon.

Unfortunately the Sandwich Terns had already fledged and were 300 metres away so we only saw Common Terns which breed slightly later.
Feeding time( all the time) was very noisy.

    What's it caught?

Black Headed Gull with a dab? or something.

    The island lake.

The tide was in on arrival and these (Mullet?)were next to the café wall about 2 1/2 ft long.

Again just for Sheal, there always seems to be an Oystercatcher by the café when the tide is out.:blue thumb:

Thanks Strongy, I'm never adverse to an Oystercatcher shot, he could have tidied himself up a bit for the camera though. Great pictures! :dbgrtmb:

Thanks M it is a great place and not too crowded (yet) it will be different in October as the Squirrels are more visible and the Terns would have left and it will be full of waders again.

What about pic 8 Zigs do you know what it is? it has a distinct shape.

Sheal, he has smartened himself up for you!

That looks like a Mullet too, anal fin is quite distinctive.
