    Hi, where are you?
    Could be dry atmosphere.
There is also a disease that causes bud browning and falling off.

Third picture you posted, of your yard I presume, large leaved plants.

Hi everyone, I planted my Camelia with several buds on it about 2 weeks ago. Now the top bud started turning orange/rusty (starts from outer petals). Soil is wet enough, it is clay but I planted in soil+compost+a bit of sand. No feed given. The leaves look ok for me. Yesterday, I dug it out to see if there was not much moisture underneath (there was not) and have noticed that outer/visible from sides roots are the same thin and congested as they were when I planed it from the pot I bought (that time I was not able to relax them), they are yellowish-white and I cannot relax them. They do not look like trying to relax and to find their place in the soil.
Do you think it is not enough time to judge?
      Not enough acid soil?
Low morning temperatures?(it is the wrong location - west side).
I have read some plants need to be put into water for some time before planting them out so that their roots suck plenty of water - is it something I should try on this plant?
Thanks in advance all lovely people here. IMG_9051.JPG IMG_9052.JPG

I've got a C. lavinia maggi that does that every year, I think its a fungal problem and the buds usually drop without opening properly.
Having said that, I have a C. roger hall directly next to it and that is usually fine and has no problems.

Thank you very much, at least I have a name to add to m list as for healthy Canelia for the futuer.Unfortunately, I do not know the name as I have bought it from a lady on a Marketplace and she did not know the name/type of this Camelia. I only presume it belongs to that flowering in Spring, not autumn/winter ones.

Main thing to remember is to never let the plant dry out completely especially in late summer when the buds are forming.
You could try next year spray with a fungicide around February time.
