I have two Camellia bushes in my garden. One is growing really well but the leaves on the other one, about 6 feet away are turning yellow. Any ideas / recommendations welcomed.

I feel your pain @mick naisbitt, I'm having the same problem with mine. I'm assuming you have planted it in ericacious soil? Have you fed it with some camelia feed? They also prefere rain water to tap, I'm sorry if you already knew all of that!
I've been doing all of the above with mine but I'm not winning but not giving up either! I hope yours soon improves. :fingers crossed:

I'm guessing the soil is not acidic enough, I grow a couple and my soil is neutral, I get round this by applying Sequestrene around the root area once a year.
You can buy it in most garden centres.

Mick, just a thought - do you have any builders rubble, or cement, in the area? It may be that the yellow-leaved one is unfortunate to be sitting on some rubble, or mortar, which is very limey...

Hi. This could be the answer. We've had a lot of building work done a few months ago and I'm trying now, (and slowly winning ) to get my lawn back to shape. I'll try something to increase the acidity of the soil.

Some of my Camellias also have yellowing leaves. My soil is pretty acid and I grow many Rhododendron, Azaleas, Pieris, Meconopsis etc with no problems. I am pretty certain the yellowing leaves on some of mine is due to cold weather. My yellow flowered Camellias are looking the worst and they are less hardy than say Anticipation or Donation. You don't indicate where you live but I'd put cold wind/frost down as the most likely suspect.
