Can anyone identify this plant?

    I think it is some kind of herb, its leaves have a perfume when rubbed. Its stem seems to be woody lower down.

    Definitely not lavender or rosemary. It has a sweetish aroma, like perfume, a bit like parma violets.

    Found growing on wasteland, must have seeded itself.

      Thanks, I am sure you are right, I googled it and the images look just like it. I would have had no idea what it was, I was totally puzzled. Very interesting scent.

        Years ago we saw it on certain beaches here in the sand and dunes. We could not determine what the scent was until I researched it. Strangely it is used in perfumes. :smile:
