Can anyone name this plant ?

    Looks like Euphorbia rigida to me, or some close relative. ;)

    I thought that too but not sure. The plant in the pic is very soft and furry to the touch if that helps I.D :)

    Looks like a leucadendron to me.

    Thats the problem I want one, I saw it at Great Dixter the other day was going to ask someone but nobody was about and after walking around for a bit I forgot until I got home:(

    If it was at Dixter I'm willing to bet it was a leucadendron.
    Can you not E mail them with the pic and ask?

    I would guess that if it were a euphorbia it would be planted out and not in a pot.

    You are right, could be Leucadendron argenteum!:thumb:

    Just had a look for Leucadendron Argenteum ( silver tree ) and you are right again Ivory thankyou:thumb: also pete thankyou:) now I just need to find one and buy it.

    Nat, you could try here.
    I've not visited for a long time now, but the owner used to grow quite a lot of similar kinds of plants, cant think of his name right now.
    Its only a small place as nurseries go, but he has a nice garden to look round with some interesting plants, and a good collection for sale.

    Local and worth a try, I'm sure you will find something of interest, if not what you are looking for.
