Can anyone name this plant?

    plant.jpg plant1.jpg plant2.jpg I have just come accross this plant in my garden and was wandering if anyone can tell me what it is... It has a large base like a pineapple.

    It looks like Cycas Revolta (The Sago Palm)

      When the R.A.F. were still at Kai Tak (1975 ish) there were two huge examples of these plants each side of the entrance to the sub aqua club, they were about six feet across and four foot high. Just thought I'd let you know.

      I have some seeds from this plant, I don't suppose they will still be viable?

        Hi Ted, and welcome to GC from me too.

        I agree with John but call it a Cycad Revoluta, still a Sago Palm. Mine had 20 new fronds this year so I was absolutely delighted.
