Solved Can anyone tell me what this grass is?

    Hi!
    Can anyone be so kind as to let me know what this grass is, its pretty thick, including the thick round stems.

    Cant say im a fan.. is it "normal"?

    It looks like one of the coarse meadow grasses, a real pain for the look of a lawn. It's slash and dash time!
    A sharp knife slashed across the clump in a criss cross fashion will chop it up and stop it becoming tufty. It always seems to grow twice as fast as the rest as well!

      Thanks, i thought it may be a "meadow" grass. Im pretty new to this, but lock-down got me interested in the lawn :)

      I have chunks of it here and there, and because its so thick, looks completely different to the rest and well, its just kinda horrible?..
