Here's what's left of my fuschia lady in black after a recent dog attack, he's destroyed everything from those stumps upwards.
The plant was about 2ft high last summer is there any chance the plant will recover from this ?

Is it a hardy fuchsia? I would have thought it will regrow from the base.

This sounds like a job for @Anthony Rogers - he will be able to advise you on how best to go forward from here.

      Hi Crjopo,

" Lady in black " is a hardy Fuchsia down to about -15, so there should be no problem with it surviving the Winter ( depending on where you live of course ).

It's a climbing variety that grows 6' plus although it will need the support of a trellis or something similar. I have a similar one " Lady Boothby " which we grow up and through a conifer.

I think I should be fine as it will ( as Redwing says ) grow again from the crown underground. It may also shoot again from the stems that are left.

Great replies thank you I'll just leave it alone and not dig up and throw away just yet and hopefully she will grow back.
