    Hello all

    I hope you are well.

When I had my garden planted last September a Peony was included.

Unfortunately, I am not sure which variety it is.

Could someone please identify the variety?

I have included a photo of the Flower and also of the Leaf:

The Flower is White with a tinge of Pink and has specks of Red.

    Thanks in advance

    Kevin

    Hello @flounder

    Thanks for the reply.

I just looked up the 'Shirley Temple' and it says that is has tough stems and is weather resistant, unfortunately, after the winds yesterday the stems got hammered and a few flowers were left languishing on the ground.

Also, the 'Shirley Temple' does not have any red specks on the flowers.

    Thanks in advance

    Kevin

    Hello @flounder

It does have a scent, lovely.

I have been doing some searching and came across 'Mother's Choice' which is White with a tinge of Pink and also has the Red flecks, the only thing is that the description says it has firm stems which this one does not, unfortunately.

Whilst on the subject of Peony how do I know what size Peony Support I need for the plant?

    Thanks in advance

    Kevin

    Another I found, festiva maxima.
Peony support? When I used to grow lax perennials, I just used to push in some stiff prunings inbetween to support any growth. Flowering for me has always occurred during periods of wind and rain though so they always look trashed!
