Can these Heuchera be saved

    Morisons are selling these Heuchera (Mars and stormy seas) for £2.50. The have long shoots and not many leaves. Are they worth buying?

    I'd say yes, at this time of the year they will soon pick up given decent outdoor conditions

      once you get them home take them out of the pot and check for vine weevil. If you do see any vine weevil and the the roots are ok wash all the compost off in soapy water then repot. I've done this with several that have been at knock down prices (just in case) I find
      they seem to put on plenty of growth after this treatment.

        Take them out of their pots, remove soil, cut all the foliage off and pot on in fresh compost or, if you feel able to, divide them and pot up
        Heucheras respond very well at this time of year to this treatment and regrow fast
        I divide heucheras here on a regular basis :)
