As they are not hardy and need well drained soil I dont fancy paying £20 for ten plants. Can I grow by seed and where do I buy them. I didnt find them on Morgan and Thompson. If not by seed How?

Cosmos atrosanguineus it would appear the seeds are difficult to obtain Jean most the major seed manufacturers sell plug plants with a wide variation in price.

I left my lovely choc cosmos in the ground (will I ever see them again?). I also collected seed which I will attempt to grow on the windowsill in April.

Back to report. It's all a dismal failure so far. The seeds have not germinated (yet) and the ones in the ground don't appear to be doing anything either. I bought two from the GC this morning as replacements.
