can you identify this shrub please

    Hi ... this looks like a escallonia but the leaves are not shinny deep green ... it does have woody stems and tiny pink flowers which the bees swarm over late summer ... the bush in the pic was in my last house I have now moved from and was about 15 years old ... like I said it looks like a escallonia in every way except the leaves are different ..regards kev

    It's not a spirea ... looks like a escallonia but like I said the leaves are not shiny green .... it has tiny tiny little pink buds that flower in late summer .. it's very stringy woody type of bush./shrub

    Looks like one of the shrubby Honeysuckles...Lonicera sp.

    Someone else said a honeysuckle ... thought they were climbers ... please forgive my knowledge as I have just got into gardening ...

    I have just checked some pictures and it is similar to a shrubby honeysuckle ...however the pink blooms are that small I could never tell what shape they were ... but at least we're getting there lol

      Flowers would prove the point Kevin but we'll have to wait for those obviously. :) You say it has tiny pink flowers which makes me think it's not Honeysuckle.
