Cant take a joke

Seems the mods on here cant take a light hearted joke. I think this is absolutly pathetic and totally OTT.

Is it now not Ok to make a joke? just because one person decided to overeact it seems we cant make light of this.

If this is the case then I will no longer be posting on here.

 

I'm not a mod and its seems fine to me. I am sure intermiplants won't mind that it was removed. It was a great spin on a silly falling out, created without need for qualification and removed in the same vein.

No I haven't. It's a shame, regardless of who said what I thought he was a good member.

 

I think he may have been banned.

Ive PM ed the mods ref the post removal and will await thier response, but frankly the only joke on here is the forum moderation.

 

Lets not speculate who and who hasn't been banned, if anyone has any questions PM the moderating team. These threads only serve to make more cleaning up and based on previous behaviour lead to more people falling out.

To be fair, I think the mods are trying to do their best in a difficult situation where we are in danger of losing sight of the objective of this board - viz gardening. Lets hope spring comes a bit earlier and gives us more important things to think about.

 

Pro, starting new threads on subjects that have caused trouble only the day before are not very helpful.
What is a joke to you may not be a joke to someone else.
Please give that person a little consideration when posting, instead of just sticking the knife in deeper.
And as you know I like a good argument, but respect has to be part of it.

I@m concerned because we've lost a few people through misunderstandings. I'm going to try texting David now as i haven't heard from him in a while, and i was expecting to.

Some people have been offended, some who caused the offense with no purpose whatsoever are seriosuly gutted and this happened, and some people extended it personally. Can we call it done now?

Lets just make a new unwritten rule, we think deeply before we write, and take things others say with a pinch of salt, how do you reckon i get by with the 'RATS' thread after all? I dont like reading about harming my favourite critters, but i understand that people need to protect what they've worked hard for, and i trust no one to take a sinister direction. I dont like to hear about it, i dont read it. Simple as that. I'm not saying i'm the perfect forum member standard to go by, but come on...

I'd also challenge anyone to handle situations like that as a mod and come out shining, i think they do a great job personally.
