Hello again everybody. I've thought it over and even discussed the situation that existed when I left GC, with Boss lady and we've taken into account the many PMs I have received (actually I received them as emails from the site 'cos I haven't been here) and have decided that I will return on a 'suck it and see' basis.

I want to make it clear that I am not being a prima donna. I enjoy the chat and banter here on all subjects and do not 'sulk' just because someone else and I disagree. I think everyone knows that my SOH is the equal of anybody else's and I can even take a joke against myself, like the time I misread an article on the difference in diet of frogs and toads or the time I said something slightly 'naughty' was pornographic and forgot to add a smily (Boy did the spit hit the fan on that one. I wonder who didn't realise that was a joke?). But I can't stomach personal, vindictive remarks about anybody, or just as bad, opinions presented as facts.

I think the mods do a brilliant job. I have been on forums with either heavy modding or no modding. Neither works. Self-modding seems to be rgw best solution, and I don't see why I should give up the virtual company of the many friends I have made pn GC. So, as suggested in a few of my PMs, in future I shall just ignore a very small number of people and hope that works.

Does anyone remember Monty Python's 'Is this where I come for an argument' sketch? :D

John, pleased to see you back - actually I didn't know you had gone because I got fed up reading the abuse and only looked again when it was being sorted out.

I remember the 'argument' sketch - brilliant [IMG] :D . "But I paid for 10 minutes"

The phrase pot calling the kettle black comes to mind.

Can we all agree to differ and move on?

Yes Freddy. You either have to have a sense of humour to live here or masochistic tendencies. Or both. [IMG]
