    First bottle opened from the 2020 vintage, and very nice it is too.
    Hope to make some more later this year, got some cuttings to plant out in late May.

      Its kind of on the sweet side of dry if you get my meaning, not into stuff that makes your teeth rough.
      Its turned out a really nice colour and it has that moreish taste.
      I only made one gallon.:yikes:

        We use to make our own in days long gone, we even have a few demijohns lurking somewhere with some very dubious vintage tipple in them. Goodness knows what it tastes like or it's strength, it was mind blowing 30 odd years,ago!!

          I've just opened a bottle of the 2020 vintage, this is cape gooseberry and fig.
          I'm really convinced now that the cape gooseberry are a good option for home made wine, other fig recipes have not been that good, but this combination seems to work.
